Former vice president Kamala Harris will headline Fortune’s annual Most Powerful Women (MPW) Summit in Washington, D.C., where she will deliver the keynote address and participate in a conversation with Fortune editor-in-chief Alyson Shontell.
The summit, taking place from Oct. 13 to 15 at the Salamander Hotel, will gather prominent figures from business, government, sports, and entertainment for discussions on leadership, economics, and innovation.
Harris’s session will reflect on her historic journey as the first woman vice president of the United States and explore insights from her recent book, '107 Days,' which recounts her presidential campaign experience.

Her appearance adds to a roster of high-profile speakers, including Meghan, Duchess of Sussex; JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon; IMF managing director Kristalina Georgieva; and Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser.
“This year’s MPW Summit features the highest percentage of women from Fortune’s 100 Most Powerful Women list and one of the most global speaker lineups to date,” said Fortune CEO Anastasia Nyrkovskaya. “The conversations will bring together leaders from business, technology, government, and culture to discuss the future of leadership.”
Day one will open with Georgieva in conversation with Fortune’s Diane Brady on navigating global economic shifts. A lunch panel on women’s sports will feature Duke Women’s Basketball head coach Kara Lawson, Wave Sports & Entertainment executive Kayla Follmuth-Barnett, and Baylor University president Linda Livingstone. Author and research professor Brené Brown will also lead a session on leadership and organizational culture.
The second day will spotlight Meghan’s interview with Shontell, where she will discuss entrepreneurship and brand building. Later, Dimon will offer his perspective on the global economy, geopolitical developments, and JPMorgan’s initiatives to support women in senior leadership roles.
The summit’s final day will include discussions with former deputy national security advisor Dina Powell McCormick on mentorship and Mayor Bowser on leadership amid crisis. Another session will examine artificial intelligence’s influence beyond business, featuring stylist Meredith Koop and Alta founder Jenny Wang.
The event will conclude with a fireside chat featuring Rare Beauty founder Selena Gomez and chief impact officer Elyse Cohen on redefining beauty and advancing mental health advocacy.
Organized by Fortune Media and supported by partners including Deloitte, Fidelity, Novartis, and Workday, the annual MPW Summit continues its 25-year legacy of spotlighting women who shape business and policy. Since its inception in 1998, the platform has evolved into one of the world’s leading forums for advancing female leadership across industries.
