Swami Brahmaviharidas, the spiritual leader of Abu Dhabi's BAPS Hindu Mandir, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi met in Delhi to discuss the progress of the construction work and the opening of the first traditional Hindu stone temple in Abu Dhabi.
During the 30-minute-long meeting, Brahmaviharidas briefed the PM about the 'Festival of Harmony' that will celebrate the inauguration of the newly raised Mandir in Abu Dhabi on February 14 2024 according to a release. He also updated the PM on the currently ongoing 'Festival of Inspirations' at the BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham, Robbinsville, USA.
Brahmaviharidas conveyed to PM Modi special blessings from BAPS leader Mahant Swami Maharaj for his health, incredible leadership and the people at large. “While listening intently and deeply appreciating the universal social, cultural and spiritual work for global good by BAPS saints and volunteers, the Prime Minister passed on his prayers and good wishes,” BAPS said.
In August 2015, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) government allotted land for the BAPS temple in the capital Abu Dhabi. The Crown Prince at that time, Sheikh Mohammed gifted the land for the temple when Prime Minister Narendra Modi first visited the UAE.
A beautiful 3D printed model of Abu Dhabi’s historic and iconic mandir destined to become a beacon of love, peace and harmony was presented to the PM by the spiritual leader.
