In a testament to what it takes to build a startup, an image from San Francisco based Koyal AI's founder, Gauri Agarwal's wedding has gone viral.
In the image, Agarwal, the co-founder and CTO of the brand, can be seen doing her CTO duties during her own wedding reception. The photo shows her dressed in traditional bridal wear and armed with a laptop, smiling, while the groom is seen beside her, eating and smiling.
Shared by Agarwal's brother on X, the image was captioned, "People romanticize startups but it is a lot of work. This is my sister & co-founder @gauri_al at her own wedding, 10 minutes after ceremony, fixing a critical bug at @KoyalAI. Not a photo op, parents yelled at both of us. When people ask why we won, I'll point to this."

While the image drew praise for the founder's hustle, it also drew questions about priorities and work delegation. Responding to hate with humor, Agarwal responded, “Try sitting for hours at an Indian reception, and you will want to code more than ever before.”
Doubling down on the hustle culture, her brother, Mehul Agarwal, gave a second update, "She's currently on honeymoon but taking meetings 3 hours a day. The husband is not happy lol."
Netizens were split on the issue. Some hailed her dedication behind the app running smoothly for them while others remarked that the company should have hired people capable of solving problems even when the founder was not around.
