An interaction with former Indian union minister Suresh Prabhu brought together over 50 community leaders, professionals, and dignitaries from the tri-state area at Bukhara Grill in Lexington Plaza on May 2.
The event, which began at 11 a.m., was organized as a meet-and-greet and discussion forum focused on global developments and future initiatives.

Prabhu was hosted by a hotelier and former Water Commissioner of California and coordinated by Nitin Vyas, a vegan activist and executive member of the United States Yoga Association.
He was accompanied by Shobhit Mathur, vice chancellor of Rishihood University, who shared updates on the institution, where Prabhu is founder and chancellor.
The session included a question-and-answer segment addressing issues related to the Indian diaspora, global cooperation, and higher education.
Attendees included H.K. Shah and Malti Shah of Vegetarian Vision; Amar Shah, managing director and head of global markets at Bank of America; Thomas Abraham and Prakash Shah of GOPIO; Jayesh Gandhi and Ajay Gandhi representing the Gandhi Samaj of South Gujarat; Aron Rimanyi of Training The Street; Simerpreet Kaur of Rishihood University; Bimal Ramani from the medical sector; filmmaker Trilok Malik; architect Parag Mehta; and transportation business owner Manish Parikh.
The event also featured a curated menu supervised by Raja Jahnjee and Arnav Jhanjee.
During his tenure in government, Prabhu led reforms across sectors, including modernization of Indian Railways, export expansion strategies, and policy initiatives focused on sustainable economic growth.
The former Member of Parliament, who has held key portfolios including railways, commerce and industry, and civil aviation, outlined his ministerial experience and ongoing international engagements. He has also served as India’s sherpa to the G20 and G7 summits and is currently associated with multiple global advisory bodies.
