JITO D.C. champions Women's History Month

The event witnessed participation from business leaders and professionals from across the Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia region.

In celebration of Women's History Month, the Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) USA - DC Chapter organized a gathering to hail the entrepreneurial spirit of women, on March 7.

The event witnessed participation from business leaders and professionals from across the Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia region.

The keynote address was delivered by Namita Shah, a prominent entrepreneur in the early childhood education sector. Shah shared her journey of building a Montessori business and highlighted how she had aligned her business with her Jain values and belief systems. She spoke about her refusal to compromise on principles such as providing wholesome, plant-based nutrition and how that integrity became a competitive advantage in her business venture.

During the event, JITO also welcomed new members to its fold. These new members joined a global network dedicated to "Build Boldly and Serve Deeply," gaining access to JITO’s ecosystem of professional mentorship and investment opportunities.

The event also featured the official announcement of the Chapter's new executive leadership. The new JITO USA DC chapter's chairperson, Rahul Jain, announced the names of the members of the new executive committee.

Apart from Rahul Jain's appointment, Durlabh Jain has been appointed as the Co-Chair; Vishal Jain, Secretary; Minal Shah, Treasurer, Renu Jain, JITO Professional Network (JPN) Lead; Sharad Doshi, Public Relations and Government Affairs Lead; Bhupesh Mehta, Past Chair; and Dr. Sushil Jain, Senior Advisor.

Rahul Jain, a partner at Guidehouse and a seasoned community leader, highlighted the significance of the organization and said, "Seeing the positive impact of these success stories is exactly why JITO exists."

He continued, "We are committed to providing the platform where ethical leadership meets economic prosperity. Today’s turnout and the addition of our newest members prove that our community is ready to lead with both purpose and profit."
