Indian Pavillion at the fest / X/ India in New York
India highlighted its coffee heritage and expanding specialty coffee sector at the 2026 edition of the Coffee Fest New York being held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center from March 8-10.
The Consulate General of India in New York showcased India’s presence at the event through an India Pavilion featuring coffee producers and industry representatives.

Consul General Binaya Srikanta Pradhan inaugurated the pavilion in the presence of exhibitors and visitors, highlighting India’s coffee heritage and its growing presence in the global specialty coffee market.

The pavilion also hosted sessions on India’s coffee history, climate-resilient coffee varieties and advanced processing techniques. According to the Consulate, the sessions brought together coffee enthusiasts, buyers and industry leaders to discuss developments in India’s coffee sector and opportunities in the specialty coffee market.
Coffee Fest New York is a trade event for the specialty coffee industry that brings together suppliers, roasters, retailers, educators and equipment manufacturers. The event provides a platform for businesses to showcase products, launch new offerings and connect with buyers and industry professionals.
The three-day event also includes training programs and competitions aimed at helping independent coffee businesses learn about industry trends and expand their operations.
India is among the world’s major coffee-producing countries, with most production concentrated in the southern states of Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. In recent years, the country has increased its focus on specialty coffee and value-added exports in global markets.
