India a top US relationship: Sec. Rubio at senate hearing

Rubio’s remarks came as the Senate Foreign Relations Committee evaluates Gor’s nomination.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Sept. 11 underscored India’s significance to the United States, describing it as “one of the top relationships” and a central pillar of the Indo-Pacific region. 

Rubio made the remarks during the Senate confirmation hearing for Sergio Gor, nominated as America’s next ambassador to India.
