Trump takes the lead in resetting India–U.S. relations

Taking the lead on putting India–US ties back on track, President Donald Trump on Sept. 9 announced that the United States and India are pressing ahead with negotiations to address trade barriers, and expressed confidence that his talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi would yield a breakthrough.

“I am pleased to announce that India, and the United States of America, are continuing negotiations to address the Trade Barriers between our two Nations,” Trump said on Truth Social.
