Joy for Indian Sikh pilgrims as they arrive in Pakistan for Guru Nanak festival

November 2025 197 views 3:15

Indian Sikh pilgrims cross the border to Pakistan to attend the Guru Nanak festival in Lahore. It is the first major crossing since deadly clashes in May closed the land border between the nuclear-armed neighbours. More than 2,100 pilgrims were granted visas to attend a 10-day festival, commemorating the birth of the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev Ji. "We have always wanted to come here because our ancestors were from this place," said Sikh pilgrim Parvinder Kaur
