Florida-based assistive technology and digital accessibility solutions company Vispero has appointed Indian-origin technology executive Sid Gaitonde as its new chief executive officer.
The July 7 announcement comes as Vispero seeks to expand its portfolio of accessibility technologies and services for people who are blind or have low vision. Gaitonde brings more than two decades of experience leading global software and technology businesses to the role.
In his new position, Gaitonde will oversee Vispero's continued investments in assistive technology, digital accessibility, software and artificial intelligence while strengthening partnerships with customers and the broader accessibility community.

Before joining Vispero, Gaitonde served as an operating partner at Vector Capital, where he worked with portfolio companies to drive operational excellence and business growth. Earlier, he was president of the retail and energy business at PDI Technologies, leading global product innovation, AI strategy and international expansion. He has also held leadership roles at GE Transportations and Sandvik, overseeing technology businesses across the mining, energy, logistics and retail sectors.
According to the company, Gaitonde's leadership will focus on expanding Vispero's software and services offerings while reinforcing its commitment to accessibility, independence and inclusion for users worldwide.
Kevin Collins, chairman of Vispero's board of directors, said Gaitonde's experience in scaling software businesses and translating customer insights into products made him the right choice to lead the company.

His experience scaling global software businesses, fostering innovation, and building exceptional teams makes him the ideal leader for Vispero's next chapter,” Collins said.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Gaitonde holds a master's degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Florida and a bachelor's degree in production engineering from the University of Mumbai.
