Portage Point Partners has appointed Indian-American executive Venkat Sreenivasan as managing director in its Performance Improvement (PI) practice, the firm announced on Oct. 29.
Based in Chicago, he will focus on driving value creation through artificial intelligence and automation, leveraging data-driven insights to accelerate portfolio performance.
Sreenivasan brings over 25 years of experience in enterprise transformation, value creation, and tech-enabled growth strategies. His work spans EBITDA improvement, commercial and operational due diligence, carve-outs, integrations, and sales effectiveness transformations. He has previously partnered with private equity sponsors and Fortune 500 firms to deliver actionable insights for profitable growth.

“Middle market companies are increasingly migrating toward technology-centered business models,” said Arun Lamba, head of Performance Improvement at Portage Point.
“Venkat brings specialized expertise across technology, SaaS, and tech-enabled businesses to support margin expansion and drive scalable growth. His sector expertise will be a valuable addition to our integration solutions platform,” he added.

Before joining Portage Point, Sreenivasan was managing director at KPMG, where he led cross-functional teams across North America and India on transformation and transaction engagements. Earlier, he served as a partner at AlixPartners, working closely with private equity clients on performance improvement projects.

Sreenivasan holds a Master of Business Administration with Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He earned a bachelor's degree from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, India.
