The U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) will mark America's 250th anniversary with its IX Leadership Summit on June 29 in Washington, D.C., focused on advancing the U.S.-India partnership.

Held under the theme "America@250," the summit will commemorate the United States' 250th anniversary while celebrating the enduring relationship between the world's oldest and largest democracies.

Senior government officials, diplomats, business executives, policymakers, academics, think tank experts and media representatives are expected to attend discussions on the future of bilateral cooperation.

The agenda will focus on key areas of collaboration, including emerging technologies, bilateral trade, resilient supply chains, critical minerals and the U.S.-India energy partnership, as Washington and New Delhi continue to expand strategic and economic cooperation.

Among the special guests are Ambassador Sergio Gor, U.S. Ambassador to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE); Ambassador Vinay Kwatra, India's Ambassador to the United States; and Ambassador Mark D. Wiseman, Canada's Ambassador to the United States.

A highlight of the summit will be the launch of USISPF's second commemorative coffee table book, We the People: A Tribute to the 250 Voices that Shaped the U.S.–India Partnership. The publication recognizes leaders, innovators, policymakers, entrepreneurs and visionaries whose contributions have deepened ties between the United States and India.

USISPF chairman and Founding Board Member John Chambers said the anniversary serves as a reminder of the opportunities created when democracies work together.

"As the United States celebrates 250 years of democracy, it's a powerful reminder that our greatest opportunities come when democracies work together. The U.S.-India relationship is one that continues to grow stronger, delivering real results for both countries as well as the global economy," Chambers said.

The summit will feature a fireside chat with Jacob Helberg, U.S. Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment, and a special address by Congressman Ro Khanna (CA-17).

USISPF board members will also participate in a closed-door discussion with U.S. Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer on ongoing bilateral trade negotiations and efforts toward an interim trade agreement.

USISPF will honor Christopher Calio, chairman and chief executive officer of RTX; Sunil Bharti Mittal, founder and chairman of Bharti Enterprises; and Prem Watsa, chairman and chief executive officer of Fairfax Financial Holdings, with its 2026 Leadership Awards for strengthening economic ties among the United States, India and Canada.

The organization will also present its Distinguished Public Service Award to Senator Steve Daines of Montana and Senator Mark Warner of Virginia in recognition of their longstanding contributions to advancing the U.S.-India strategic and economic partnership.

Chambers said USISPF's mission, as it approaches its 10th anniversary, has remained focused on translating strategic intent into measurable outcomes for both countries, adding that the partnership continues to be driven by leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators committed to strengthening bilateral ties.

USISPF president and CEO Mukesh Aghi said the anniversary provides an opportunity to reflect on the values that have shaped the United States while recognizing the importance of the bilateral partnership.

"The U.S.-India partnership remains one of the defining relationships of our era, underpinned by shared democratic values, growing economic integration, and a common commitment to innovation and prosperity," Aghi said.

He added that the summit's honorees, public service award recipients, government officials and business leaders embody the spirit of strengthening the partnership across multiple sectors.

The summit is scheduled to take place from 2:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET on June 29, in Washington, D.C.
