Among the participants were Steve Cahillane, chief executive officer of Kraft Heinz; James Zallie, president and chief executive officer of Ingredion; as well as senior executives from ADM and Brown-Forman.
The gathering represented key sectors that have become increasingly important to India-U.S. trade and investment, including food processing, agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, and consumer goods.
USISPF said the summit was held with support from consulting firm Kearney, a member of the organization.
According to USISPF, the summit reflected the growing role of the Midwest in the broader U.S.-India relationship and highlighted interest among business leaders in expanding partnerships, investment, and people-to-people ties between the two countries.
The summit also took place ahead of USISPF's ninth annual Leadership Summit, scheduled for June 29 in Washington, D.C., where government officials, diplomats, and business leaders from both countries are expected to discuss the future of the strategic partnership and economic cooperation.
