As International Day of Yoga is being observed globally on June 21, three fine dining restaurants in Texas are offering special Satvik and yogic meals to mark the occasion. The Indian Consulate in Houston has supported the initiative, which brings together food and wellness through carefully curated menus.

Verandah – Progressive Indian Cuisine in Houston is hosting a “Yogic Menu Experience” from June 18 to 23. The restaurant is offering dishes that align with the philosophy of Yoga, described as “light, nourishing, and mindful”. The menu includes detox smoothies, herbal elixirs, and Satvik-inspired dishes. “On this International Day of Yoga, embrace the harmony of mind, body, and spirit,” a note on the restaurant’s poster reads.

India Summer, another fine dining restaurant in Sugar Land, Texas, is presenting “The Satvik Menu Experience” from June 17 to 22. In celebration of the 11th International Day of Yoga, the restaurant is serving a wholesome menu based on Satvik principles. The poster describes the event as being held “with great joy and pride,” with a focus on simple, clean foods such as lentils, rice, and vegetables.

The Flavor Lounge in Frisco is also participating in the celebration with a curated Satvik thali available from June 18 to 23. The restaurant’s flyer invites customers to discover “how food can be a path to inner peace.” It describes the specially designed menu as one that aims to “nourish the body, calm the mind, and uplift the spirit,” while promoting simplicity and conscious eating.
