When Autism is mentioned, it leads to many questions and doubts. For families in general, it becomes a time filled with stress and uncertainty. However, for many Indian-American parents, the journey becomes even more complex due to the absence of close family support in the United States. 

Unlike in India, where extended families might offer day-to-day help or emotional reassurance, many Indian-American families navigate autism largely on their own, while also managing cultural expectations, school systems, and visa-related complications.
