Waymo, a leader in autonomous vehicle technology, presently operates its fully driverless ride-hailing service known as Waymo One for the general public in Phoenix, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Austin. Phoenix remains their most established and expansive market, offering 24/7 service across 315 square miles, including airport access. In San Francisco, Waymo One is also available 24/7, covering a significant portion of the city and expanding into nearby regions such as Daly City.

Los Angeles saw Waymo One become open to all public riders in November 2024, operating across nearly 90 square miles of LA County, with ongoing expansion plans including testing on freeways. In Austin, Waymo has partnered with Uber to offer rides exclusively through the Uber app, with plans for a gradual rollout and expansion of their service area. In the next few months, Waymo is actively pursuing further expansion, with Atlanta set to launch via the Uber app later this year, and plans for Miami and Washington D.C. in 2026, alongside international testing in Tokyo.
