On behalf of the Telangana government and the people, the Chief Minister extended his deepest condolences to Anuroop's parents, his brother Ashrit Reddy, and family members. He prayed to God for peace for Anuroop's soul.
In a letter of commendation sent to them, the Chief Minister stated that the government would stand by the family during this profound sorrow.
He noted that the news of Anuroop's tragic death, which occurred on May 29, at the Toro Bayou Park in the US state of Louisiana, has left all deeply shocked. At just 23 years of age, Anuroop, with a promising career and a bright future ahead of him, demonstrated exemplary courage, selflessness, and valour that stand as an inspiration to all, he said.
"When faced with a critical situation where three of his friends were in imminent danger of drowning, Anuroop did not hesitate. Without regard for his own safety, he plunged into the waters and successfully rescued his friends. While his heroic actions ensured they survived, it is our deepest misfortune that the cruel currents of destiny took him away from us," he wrote in the letter.
