EY (Ernst & Young) has appointed Indian-American Sid Khosla as the Vice Chair – Financial Services of the New York based EY Americas wing.
An EY veteran, Khosla has been associated with the company for over a decade and most recently served as the EY Americas Banking & Capital Markets Leader. In this role, he spearheaded the firm’s strategic initiatives across banking, capital markets, transformation, innovation, and mergers & acquisitions.
Khosla, who describes himself as a financial services leader, LEGO enthusiast, gearhead and a weekend mechanic, took charge on May 1.

Announcing the appointment, EY hailed Khosla as “bold leader” tasked with changing the future of financial services.
EY said, “At a time of rapid change and disruption, Sid brings long-term vision, deep market insight, trusted leadership, and an unwavering commitment to our clients and our people as he continues to strengthen EY’s impact across the industry.”
Khosla leads a US$9 billion practice encompassing more than 14,000 professionals across 75 offices.
With over 25 years of industry experience, Khosla helps complex global and domestic financial services institutions drive business transformation and growth.
He is widely recognized as a thought leader in corporate strategy and was honored with The M&A Advisor’s Emerging Leaders Award. He is a regular contributor to leading research publications and media outlets, sharing his expert perspectives on the industry.
Talking about his appointment, Khosla said on LinkedIn, “I’m honored to share that I’ve been named EY Americas Vice Chair – Financial Services.”
Khosla also hailed his predecessor Shawn Smith for his leadership and hailed Smith for his clarity of vision and genuine care for the organization and its people.
He continued, “I’m excited for what’s next and look forward to making a lasting impact together.”
