Rakhi Israni has called for an investigation into individuals who have been named in the files in association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, citing reports about the recent release of previously withheld federal interview summaries.

Israni, an Indian American attorney and educator currently running as a candidate for California’s 14th Congressional District, took to X on the occasion of International Women's Day and wrote,

“#InternationalWomensDay is to celebrate the strength of women and girls. It's also a day to confront the ways we still fail them.”

Israni,  who was the first Director for the HinduPACT project CHINGARI, which stands for the Coalition of Hindu Girls and Their Rights, spoke about the newly released FBI interview reports by the Department of Justice on March 6.

She demanded a “full, independent investigation into every person in these files,” and posted,

“On Friday, the DOJ released FBI interview reports it had initially withheld from the #EpsteinFiles. In them, a 13-year-old says she was sexually abused by Epstein and Trump.”

“Every one of these girls deserved protection. Every one of them deserves justice now. That means a full, independent investigation into every person in these files.”

Israni concluded her post by stating that predators need to be held accountable irrespective of one’s political beliefs and wrote: “Republican, Democrat, it does not matter. If you abuse a child, you face consequences. Honoring women and girls means refusing to let politics decide which predators are held accountable.”
