Deepika Bodapati, co-founder and chief operating officer of healthcare technology company Commure, has been named to Inc.'s 2026 Female Founders 500, an annual list recognizing women entrepreneurs whose leadership and innovation are shaping industries across the United States.
The recognition places Bodapati among a select group of founders who have driven significant business growth and impact. According to Inc., companies led by honorees on this year's list generated a combined $12.3 billion in revenue in 2025.

Bodapati serves as COO of Commure, an enterprise healthcare technology company that uses artificial intelligence to help hospitals, physicians and health systems streamline administrative operations and improve patient care. Under her leadership, the company has expanded its AI-powered tools nationwide, addressing challenges ranging from medical documentation and billing to revenue cycle management.
"Athelas began with a focus on improving care delivery and diagnostics through AI, but we quickly saw that the administrative burden on practices and health systems was just as urgent," Bodapati said in a company statement. Based in California, Commure says its platform processes more than $25 billion in annual claims and integrates with over 60 electronic health record systems, serving healthcare organizations ranging from major hospital networks to community health centers.

Inc.'s Female Founders 500 is compiled through a multi-stage evaluation process that examines business performance, revenue growth, funding, innovation and social impact. The publication said the list highlights founders who are building influential companies while addressing complex challenges in their respective sectors.
