Inauguration of the celebrations at the India Pavilion / India in New York via X
The Consul General of India in New York, Binaya Srikanta Pradhan, inaugurated the India Pavilion at the ongoing Summer Fancy Food Show 2026 on June 28.
Set up by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) in collaboration with the Indian Consulate in New York, the India Pavilion showcased and marketed Indian agricultural and processed food products.
The event was attended by CGI Pradhan, APEDA Chairman Dr. Abhishek Dev, India Trade Promotion Organisation MD Dr. Neeraj Kharwal, and Indian celebrity chef Vikas Khanna.
The Indian Pavilion features over 70 Indian exhibitors who showcased their products to attendees. After the inauguration, CGI Pradhan met and shared insights with each exhibitor to strengthen their business in the U.S. market.
He also engaged with exporters of various agricultural and food items, including basmati rice and ready-to-eat food products, and applauded their efforts to bring Indian flavors to New York, where they are in high demand in the U.S., the Consulate noted on X.

The Indian pavilion featured a modern theme inspired by India's agricultural heritage, emphasizing sustainability under the concept "Grown in India for the World."
The pavilion also included an enclosed meeting lounge seating eight people for business meetings between Indian exporters and international buyers.
Held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, the Summer Fancy Food Show is North America's largest trade fair for specialty foods and beverages, showcasing artisanal, organic, plant-based, and ethnic products.
It serves as a premier platform for product discovery, networking, and business opportunities for manufacturers, buyers, distributors, brokers, restaurateurs, investors, and members of the press from around the globe.
