The 2026 FIFA World Cup will feature several debutants, including Cape Verde, Curaçao, Jordan, and Uzbekistan, making their first-ever appearances. The expanded 48-team tournament allows more nations to compete, with these newcomers likely joining traditional powerhouses in North America.
Statistically speaking, several countries, including Jordan, Uzbekistan, Cape Verde, and Curaçao, are confirmed first-time qualifiers. Uzbekistan has qualified as a representative of Asia, while Curaçao is the smallest nation ever to qualify for the FIFA World Cup.

Interestingly, Canada, one of three co-hosts, is not a first-time qualifier. It is playing in its first World Cup as a co-host and did not inherit a spot from a small regional setup.
