CGI Houston flags U.S. trade opportunities for India

The Consulate General of India in Houston recently hosted an interactive session on export-import financing, during which Consul General D.C. Manjunath spoke about the growing opportunities for Indian businesses in the United States.

During the session, which featured Ravindra Mehru, resident representative of the Export-Import Bank of India, Manjunath also highlighted the Consulate’s role in supporting trade and investment ties between the two countries.

The session focused on key Exim Bank programs, including overseas investment finance, credit enhancement, buyer’s credit and opportunities for Indian subsidiaries operating in the US.

Diaspora outreach 

Manjunath also recently met members of the West Texas Indian diaspora from Midland, Odessa and Andrews during a community interaction.

The interaction included an open dialogue on community concerns, consular services and ways to strengthen people-to-people ties.

Manjunath encouraged continued community collaboration and reaffirmed the Consulate’s commitment to supporting the Indian diaspora across the region.
