Indian origin men arrested over shooting in Canada

The charges are related to weapons possession and discharge of a firearm.

Three Indian origin men have been arrested by the Peel Regional police after a shooting incident in Brampton, Canada, Peel police said on Dec. 11.

The arrests happened following an October 2025 incident where an altercation took place between two separate groups in a parking lot in the area of McVean Drive and Castlemore Road, which resulted in firearms being discharged. There were minor physical injuries sustained by one of the involved individuals.

The police have identified and arrested 26-year-old Manjot Bhatti, 27-year-old Navjot Bhatti and 22-year-old Amanjot Bhatti for allegedly being involved with the incident.

Manjot Bhatti has been charged with multiple offences including Intentionally Discharge a Firearm Recklessly, Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm and other charges surrounding possession of the weapon.

Navjot Bhatti and Amanjot Bhatti have been accused of occupying a vehicle knowing that there was a firearm present in the vehicle.
