Indian-managed Rutgers team wins Omnicom health contest

Rutgers University-Newark team dedicated five weeks to building an advertising campaign, named “Silence is the Heaviest Load We Carry.”

A team of Rutgers University-Newark students, managed by Indian-origin psychology student Aparna Mathur, has won a first-place prize of $10,000 and the opportunity for each student to intern with Omnicom Health in the company’s annual Health of Advertising Brand Challenge.

In the competition, students were asked to create a campaign to raise awareness about obesity. The Rutgers University-Newark team dedicated five weeks to building an advertising campaign titled “Silence is the Heaviest Load We Carry.”
