Open Letter to Donald J. Trump, President of the United States

It’s time to toss some yoga and meditation into your White House routine!!

Dear Mr. President,

As President of Lead America, I’m excited to reach out as you lead our nation with your signature vigor. Steering the country is no easy gig—probably tougher than dodging a rogue golf ball in a Mar-a-Lago monsoon! Your bold approach keeps everyone on their toes, and we’re rooting for a presidency as dynamic as a Truth Social thread gone viral. To quote yours truly, “A leader’s calm is the nation’s balm—yoga’s the way to save the day!” On behalf of Lead America, I offer our steadfast support and prayers for your continued success.

Hindu scriptures offer timeless wisdom for leadership, urging rulers to stay calm amid the storm of governance. The Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 2, Verse 48) has Lord Krishna telling Arjuna, “Keep your cool, or you’ll crash the chariot of state into a cosmic ditch!” He champions equanimity (samatvam), pushing leaders to act with balance and wisdom to foster justice.

The Arthashastra, Kautilya’s governance manual, advises blending discipline with compassion, like a sage who’s tough but kind—think a coach who drills the team but brings snacks. The Manusmriti (Chapter 7, Verse 30) emphasizes self-restraint (dama) and discernment (prajna), with a king protecting the people like a parent who never loses their chill. The Katha Upanishad (1.3.3-4) compares the mind to a chariot’s reins—a leader must master it to guide the nation toward harmony, not chaos.

So, here’s a playful nudge: why not toss some yoga and meditation into your White House routine? Yoga’s poses and breaths are like cutting a deal with your own body, keeping you sharp for those marathon briefings. Meditation, straight from the Upanishads, is your mental escape—calmer than a Florida sunrise, no matter how wild the headlines spin. These practices can help you channel Krishna’s zen, leading with a steady hand that inspires Americans to follow suit.

Lead America urges you to champion yoga and meditation for all, building a nation that’s mentally clear, physically vibrant, and spiritually grounded. Picture an America where folks swap stress for serenity, tackling challenges with smiles as big as a rally crowd. A yoga-loving country could be as united as a MAGA hat wave, but with more sun salutations and fewer signs!

We stand with you, Mr. President, in full support of your mission to advance America’s prosperity and peace. May the wisdom of Hindu scriptures—equanimity, restraint, and compassion—guide your leadership, and may yoga and meditation keep you calmer than a Mar-a-Lago golfer who finally admits their ball’s in the bunker.

With prayers for your guidance, Rajesh Gooty
President, Lead America.
