Major League Cricket partners with MVPz / MLC
Major League Cricket (MLC) has announced a multi-year partnership with sports engagement platform MVPz, naming the company the league's official sports trading card partner for the 2026 season.
The collaboration will introduce officially licensed digital and physical trading cards featuring MLC players, offering fans a new way to collect, trade and interact with their favorite athletes. The cards will be available globally through the MVPz platform and MLC's website.

The trading cards will incorporate near-field communication (NFC) technology, allowing users to access player profiles, live statistics, performance updates and other digital content by tapping the cards. The initiative aims to combine traditional sports memorabilia with interactive fan engagement.
“MVPz brings an innovative approach to sports collectibles that blends the tradition of trading cards with the digital engagement today’s fans expect. This partnership gives our supporters in the U.S. and around the world another meaningful way to follow the league, celebrate their favorite athletes and be part of MLC’s continued momentum,” said Johnny Grave, CEO of Major League Cricket.
MVPz CEO Calum Russell said the company is committed to enhancing the fan experience through technology while preserving the excitement of live sporting events. He added that the partnership will help promote cricket's growth in the United States and provide new experiences for supporters.
Vamsi Nagavarapu, co-founder and chief technology officer of MVPz, described the cards as an evolution of traditional collectibles by linking them directly to athletes and exclusive digital experiences.
The announcement comes as the 2026 Major League Cricket season continues across multiple venues in the United States. The tournament, which began June 18, will conclude with the championship match on July 18 after playoff games at the Oakland Coliseum.
