Four Democratic Party organizations in the Chicagoland area have endorsed U.S. Representative Raja Krishnamoorthi in his campaign for the U.S. Senate from Illinois.
The Schaumburg Area Democratic Party, Bloomingdale Township Democratic Organization, Hanover Township Democratic Party, and Elk Grove Township Democratic Party hailed Krishnamoorthi as the “leader Illinois needs” in the Senate while acknowledging his legislative experience as a congressman from the state.

Mike Cudzik, Chair of the Schaumburg Area Democratic Party, who has spent years collaborating with Krishnamoorthi, said, “Raja and his family are part of our community - they live here, they've raised their family here, and they understand firsthand what our families face every day.”
Terrell Barnes, Chair of the Bloomingdale Township Democratic Organization, said, “In Congress, Raja has proven time and time again that he's always willing to take on the toughest fights to protect working families and hold bad actors accountable.” He described the congressman as a “proven fighter” suited to address economic pressures affecting the middle class.
Adriana Barriga Green, Chair of the Hanover Township Democratic Party, pointed to Krishnamoorthi’s personal history. “As an immigrant and a product of food stamps and Illinois public schools, Raja has never lost sight of where he came from, or who he's fighting for,” she said, adding that his background positions him to address immigration enforcement issues and advocate for families.
Ted Mason, Chair of the Elk Grove Township Democratic Party, praised Krishnamoorthi as a “tested, proven leader who never backs down from standing up for our families," adding that he has “the experience and grit to deliver on the biggest challenges we face.”
I am truly honored to have earned the endorsement of these four Democratic parties and grateful for the work they do to make their communities, our state, and our country a better place.
