JJ Singh lauds Seva Truck's contributions at House of Delegates

The Virginia House of Delegates adopted a resolution hailing the contributions of the Virginia-based non-profit organization, 'Seva Truck', on March 3.
Aimed at battling hunger, the foundation serves hot, nutritious meals to anyone in need. The community organization has served over 500,000 meals during the past nine years. It also coordinates after-school resources to improve educational outcomes.

The resolution was proposed by Virginia Delegate JJ Singh, who described the foundation's work as being not just true to the core tenets of Sikhism but also to truly American values.
Speaking in the house of delegates, he said, "Seva Truck Foundation offers up to 800 freshly prepared nutritious meals daily. As a result of their tireless efforts over the past 10 years, the Seva Truck Foundation has served more than 550,000 meals to children and families in need."
Singh also asked the members of Seva Truck, who were witnessing the proceedings from the House gallery, to stand as Singh went on to propose the adoption of House Joint Resolution 195, commending Seva Truck on its 10 years of service to the community.
The resolution was passed unanimously by the House of Delegates.
