Indian gay family drama ‘Kuch Sapney Apne’ set for DC South Asian Film Festival

Written and directed by Rangayan and Saagar Gupta, Kuch Sapney Apne follows Kartik and Aman, a couple whose relationship is tested by infidelity and family conflicts.

Acclaimed Hindi feature film Kuch Sapney Apne, a family drama centred on a gay couple, will screen at the 13th DC South Asian Film Festival this weekend, with the director and lead actor in attendance.

The award-winning film, shot in India and Sweden, will be shown Saturday, Sept. 6. Director Sridhar Rangayan and veteran actor Shishir Sharma are in Washington to present the screening and participate in a Q&A with audiences, a media release said Aug. 4.
