Kennesaw State University (KSU) has announced the establishment of the Madhuri and Jagdish N. Sheth Marketing Scholarship, made possible through a generous $100,000 gift from the Indian-American couple.
The scholarship will support undergraduates in the Michael J. Coles College of Business, with a special emphasis on assisting first-generation college students, the university said in a statement.

Jagdish Sheth, an internationally acclaimed scholar, is widely recognized for his pioneering work in relationship marketing and customer centricity. With over 300 publications and numerous honors—including India’s Padma Bhushan Award—his academic journey spans from the University of Pittsburgh to Columbia University and Emory University, where he has been a professor since 1991.
“Dr. Sheth’s influence must be counted, not just in articles and books published or students taught, but in terms of the outsized impact he has had as a mentor in the lives of scores of students, faculty, and business leaders. His visionary and groundbreaking ideas have transcended academia and business to reach governments and policymakers. His intellectual and human contributions combined with his philanthropy have been transformative for the marketing discipline and beyond," said Mona Sinha, chair of the Department of Marketing and Professional Sales.
Madhu Sheth, a former teacher in India, is deeply involved in education and community engagement. She serves on the women’s committee of JAINA and chairs the construction committee at the local Jain Center.
“I am immensely proud of Dr. Sheth’s contributions to and collaborations with Kennesaw State University and the Coles College of Business. I have witnessed his impact on the quality of our faculty’s scholarship and how he extended our reach into the business and academic communities, from local to international,” said vice provost Sheb True.
The Sheths have previously funded other recognitions at KSU, including awards for distinguished international alumni and faculty. Their latest contribution further strengthens Kennesaw State’s mission to nurture global-minded and socially responsible leaders.
