India on May 10 said Pakistan had repeatedly violated ceasefire agreed between them just hours earlier and that it was retaliating.
India's foreign secretary Vikram Misri said there had been "repeated violations" and that the "armed forces are giving an adequate and appropriate response to these violations."
"We call upon Pakistan to take appropriate steps to address these violations and deal with the situation with seriousness and responsibility," Misri said adding that the armed forces have been given instructions to deal strongly with any instances of repetition of the violations.
These violations come after the ceasefire was brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump following a call between the Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both countries.
