Doshi is among four Democratic candidates seeking to replace term-limited Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser. She will appear alongside Michael Dougherty, Jena Griswold and David Seligman in the public forum focused on criminal justice, civil rights, consumer protection and constitutional issues.
A first-generation Indian American and Denver resident, Doshi previously served as an assistant U.S. attorney for Colorado from 2014 to 2022 before becoming deputy assistant attorney general in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division.
According to her campaign website, Doshi has practiced law for nearly two decades and has worked on cases involving monopolies, fraud, corruption and antitrust enforcement.
Doshi formally launched her campaign in 2025, saying she was entering the race to protect civil liberties and working families. In announcing her candidacy, she said, “I’ve taken on powerful executives in boardrooms and corrupt officials in government, and I’m ready to defend the rights and freedoms of every Coloradan.”
Her campaign has also highlighted her experience handling federal antitrust litigation involving large corporations, including Google.
Organizers said the debate is intended to give voters an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates about their priorities, leadership approaches and policy positions ahead of the election.
The debate comes ahead of Colorado’s Democratic primary election on June 30, with the general election scheduled for Nov. 3.
