India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has announced the launch of the 83rd edition of the Know India Programme (KIP), a flagship initiative designed to strengthen connections between India and its diaspora youth.

The three-week immersion program will be held from Nov. 10 to 28, 2025. Applications must be submitted by Oct. 19, 2025, through the nearest Indian embassy/consulate or via the KIP online portal.

The initiative offers overseas Indian youth aged 21 to 35 the opportunity to visit India and explore various facets of its culture, economy, and institutions.

Since its inception in 2003, the program has brought over 2,500 participants from more than 50 countries, including South Africa, Mauritius, Fiji, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Suriname, Myanmar, Australia, and the United States.

Participants selected for the program will receive a 90 percent subsidy on return international airfare, along with full local hospitality covering accommodation, meals, and transport.

The itinerary includes visits to sites of cultural and historical importance, exposure to Ayurveda and classical arts, and interactions with key national institutions such as the Parliament of India, Rashtrapati Bhawan, and the Election Commission. Participants will also travel to Delhi, Agra, and one designated state to gain regional insights into India’s social and economic landscape.

The initiative marks over two decades of India’s efforts to connect second- and third-generation diaspora youth with their ancestral roots.
