IMG launches scholarship for aspiring international students

The deadline to apply for the 2026 Spring semester scholarship is Sept.30, 2025.

IMG (International Medical Group), an Indiana-based global insurance benefits and assistance company, has launched the inaugural Student Journey Scholarship, a new program designed to help international students fund their studies at U.S. colleges and universities.

IMG will be awarding funds to one student per Fall and Spring semester, and each winner will receive $5,000. Entries for the 2026 Spring semester scholarship will be accepted July 1-Sept. 30, 2025.

For the IMG Student Journey Scholarship, applicants must submit a 500-word essay or a 3-minute video outlining their path to pursuing higher education in the U.S. and explaining how this education will support their personal and professional aspirations.

Justin Poehler, IMG Chief Commercial Officer talked about the new initiative in a press statement and said, "IMG has been a trusted partner to international students for decades, providing health insurance plans that meet their needs while studying in the U.S.."

Poehler added, "With the launch of the Student Journey Scholarship, we're expanding our support beyond medical coverage to help students manage the financial challenges of studying abroad, and we are looking forward to investing in their success during this important chapter of their lives."

To apply for the Student Journey Scholarship, aspiring candidates must visit www.imglobal.com/student-journey-scholarship. The deadline to apply for the 2026 Spring semester scholarship is Sept.30, 2025, and the winner will be announced Nov.3, 2025.
