The Prairie View Cricket Complex in Houston will host the inaugural Super 60 Legends USA tournament from September 24 to October 5, marking a significant milestone for the growth of cricket in the United States.

The event, sanctioned by the USA Cricket Association, will be contested in the T10 format, featuring ten overs per side and a total of 60 deliveries.

Designed for fast-paced action, the format emphasizes aggressive batting, strategic bowling, and close finishes. With the participation of legendary cricketers from across the globe, organizers expect the tournament to deliver both entertainment and competitive intensity.

The initiative is being led by Samp Group, with founder and chief executive officer Ritesh Patel underscoring its importance to the American sporting landscape. “We are excited to bring this dynamic format of cricket to a new market, especially in a country where the game is growing at such a fast pace. This tournament will not only entertain but also showcase the unique energy that T10 cricket brings,” Patel said in a statement.

The tournament’s timing coincides with a period of expanding interest in cricket across the United States. Following the successful hosting of matches during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 and the rising popularity of Major League Cricket, the Super 60 Legends USA is expected to further strengthen cricket’s visibility in a traditionally baseball and basketball-dominated market.
