Indian student associations in America have evolved from hosting Diwali or Holi celebrations to a nationwide system that has become a necessity for fostering cultural pride and community support among Indian students. 

It's giving Indian American students a chance to reconnect with their heritage and helping international students adjust to life in a foreign country by providing a sense of familiarity.
