Milpitas Economic Development Chair, Parkash Daryani, has endorsed Indian American Democratic candidate Rakhi Israni's bid for California’s 14th Congressional District.
An educator, attorney, and mother of four, Israni's run for U.S. Congress revolves around the broader debates over the cost of living, education, and governance in California. She framed her candidacy around what she described as a moment of responsibility in public life.
Endorsing Israni, Daryani said, "As Chair of Milpitas' Economic Development Commission and President of Auriga Corp., I've spent decades building businesses and creating jobs right here in the Bay Area."
He continued, "Rakhi understands what it takes to grow our local economy - she's built a thriving education company, created jobs and elevated test scores for our district. Her practical business experience, combined with her commitment to cleaning up DC, makes her the results-oriented leader our community needs in Congress."

Apart from leading the city's Economic Development department, Daryani also serves as the President of Auriga Corporation, a position held since January 1997. Prior to this role, Daryani was Vice President at Macro Corporation from 1986 to 1996, further showcasing a strong background in management.
He holds a Master of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
Responding to Daryani's endorsement, Israni said on X, "Thrilled and grateful to have the strong endorsement from Milpitas Economic Development Chair Parkash Daryani!"
She noted that Daryani understands what it takes to create jobs and grow the local economy, as a fellow Bay Area business leader. Israni continued, "His support means the world to me. Together, we’ll bring practical, results-driven leadership to Congress."
California’s 14th Congressional District covers parts of the eastern Bay Area and includes diverse suburban communities with a significant population of professionals, immigrants, and families.
According to her campaign, Israni has lived in Fremont for more than two decades, where she has raised her family and built her professional career. She cited her experience founding and leading a national test-preparation company, which she said drew on her background as an educator and enabled her to mentor thousands of students.
Her legal work, the campaign said, has included representing underserved clients in family court and assisting elderly residents with estate planning. She has also been active in local schools, serving as PTA president at the elementary, middle, and high school levels attended by her children.
