Indian-origin cab driver Hardeep Singh Toor picked up a couple, including a pregnant woman, who gave birth inside his taxi midway through the journey before he safely delivered all three to a hospital on a cold winter night in Canada on Dec. 27, 2025.
The Calgary taxi driver responded to a late-night dispatch call after being informed that it was an urgent ride to a hospital, according to Global News.

Toor told CTV that he realized the seriousness of the situation after seeing the couple in distress and the pregnant woman in pain. Considering the weather conditions, he decided to drive them directly to the hospital instead of calling an ambulance.
With temperatures around minus 23 degrees Celsius, stormy conditions and slippery roads, Toor drove for about 30 minutes as the woman screamed and kicked in the back seat while he encountered frequent red lights along the route.
Toor later recalled the drive as the longest 30 minutes of his life.
Just a few blocks from the Peter Lougheed Centre, Toor noticed the distress in the back seat suddenly stopped, and the baby was born with the hospital building already in sight.
He then drove the mother, father and newborn to the hospital, where medical staff rushed to assist them.
Hospital staff later informed Toor, who has been driving cabs for four years, that both the mother and baby were doing well.
