Consulate to host Manchester meet on Indian biz in UK

The event hopes to foster focused deliberations on trade, technology, talent, and innovation across the India–North England corridor.

The Consulate General of India in Manchester, United Kingdom, is organizing the India-North England Opportunity Summit on March 20.

The Summit hopes to bring together visionary leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and industry experts from both nations for a day of high-impact dialogue and action.

Positioning Manchester as the strategic launchpad for Indian businesses targeting the UK and European markets, the summit spotlights a robust corridor of investment, collaboration, and cross-border expansion.

The Consulate has also announced an illustrious list of speakers poised to lead the dialogue. The summit will feature top political leaders from the U.K., including MP Jonathan Reynolds, the Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury; MP Angela Rayner; and Beverley Anne Craig, the leader of Manchester City Council, along with Kate Thornley, the Chief Negotiator at Department for Business and Trade.

Representing Indian interests, the Indian High Commissioner to the U.K. Vikram K Doraiswami, the Consul General of India in Manchester;  Vishakha Yaduvanshi; and Nidhi Mani Tripathi, the Minister (Economic), High Commission of India, London, would attend the summit.

The one day event will host high level plenaries on trade, policy, FTAs and businesses, among other subjects of mutual interest, fostering focused deliberations on trade, technology, talent, and innovation across the India–North England corridor.
