BSC karokee of Chicago honour late Indian actor Dharmendra

The program was named the "He-Man" of Bollywood in honour of Dharmendra and was held at the Rana Reagan Center in Chicago, Illinois.

On Nov. 30, BSC karokee of Chicago organised a program to pay tribute to legendary Indian actor Dharmendra, who passed away on Nov. 24 at the age of 89.

The program was named the "He-Man" of Bollywood in honour of Dharmendra and was held at the Rana Reagan Center in Chicago, Illinois.

This tribute program marked an attendance of over 20, and BSC members sang songs from Dharmendra's movies, celebrating the Padma Bhushan

BSC committee members and news journalists Jayanti Oza and Ramesh Rupani delivered tribute speeches while BSC president Haribhai Patel and Treasurer Madarsangbhai Chavda were also present at the program.

Dharmendra is widely regarded as one of the most influential personalities in Indian cinema, and also as one of the most commercially successful stars in its history.

In an acting career of around 65 years, Dharmendra worked in more than 300 films and holds the record for starring in the highest number of hit films in Hindi cinema.

Some of Dharmendra’s iconic movies include Phool Aur Patthar (1966), Mera Gaon Mera Desh (1971), Seeta Aur Geeta (1972), Ankhen (1968), Chupke Chupke (1975), and Sholay (1975), among several others.

Despite his sad demise, Dharmendra’s legacy will live on and continue to bring the community together all across the world to celebrate this Indian legend.
