A 25-year-old Indian woman who moved back to India from the United Kingdom noted that hunting for a job in India is a nightmare in spite of having an international degree and work experience.
Seeking advice from Redditors, she expressed her confusion over resetting her life. She had returned to India after studying in the UK and working there for two years because her visa window was drawing to a close and the work culture there was getting toxic.
However, what was intended as a quick reset has become a nightmare as she struggles to break into the Indian job market.
“I honestly didn’t expect the transition to feel this confusing, but here we are,” she wrote in the post.
Raising questions about what to do, the Redditor shared that even though she had invested a lot into her education and career, she is struggling to find an opening in India.
Expressing confusion, she added, "LinkedIn feels insanely crowded and chaotic, and most applications disappear into a black hole."
Numerous netizens echoed similar challenges and shared that one might expect a foreign degree and international work experience to significantly boost their cause but this is rarely the case.
