Americans4Hindus (A4H), a national, independent, non-partisan organization, formally endorsed Congressman Jimmy Patronis for re-election from Florida’s 1st Congressional District.

The organization announced the endorsement during a series of community engagement events held in Tampa on March 23. Patronis engaged with the community during four meet-and-greet sessions over two days.

The events hosted in collaboration with the Hindu-Jewish Coalition of America (HJCA) and other community groups brought together community leaders, trustees, entrepreneurs, and members to discuss issues and priorities concerning Hindu Americans, with a focus on civic participation and political engagement.

During the visit, Patronis acknowledged the Hindu American community and emphasized alliances among Hindu, Jewish, and Greek American communities to support candidates aligned with shared values.

Patronis also agreed to support the Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, and Jain American Congressional Caucus, indicating alignment with initiatives representing these communities at the national level.
A dinner jointly organized by A4H and HJCA included discussions on strengthening partnerships across the United States, Florida, Israel, and India. The conversations also explored collaboration among Hindu-American, Jewish-American, and Greek-American communities and encouraged entrepreneurs from sectors including technology, hospitality, education, and healthcare to consider investment opportunities in Florida.

Romesh Japra, founder and chairman of A4H, encouraged greater civic and political participation, stating that the current period presents an opportunity for Hindu Americans to engage more actively in the democratic process.

Japra acknowledged contributions from organizational leaders, including Rakesh Sharma, president; Pawan Rattan, chief advisor; Sanjeev Kumar, vice president; Jugal Taneja, trustee; Shyam Mohapatra, trustee; and Chandresh Saraiya, trustee, along with volunteers and partners involved in organizing the events.

Nissim Benjamin Reuben, assistant director, Asia Pacific Institute (API), at the American Jewish Committee (AJC), based in Washington, D.C., was recognized for supporting coordination and contributing to discussions on strengthening ties between the United States, Israel, and Asia, as well as engagement between Jewish and Asian American communities.

The event was supported by Paige Primrose, a staff member of Patronis, along with community leaders and partners.
