The University of California, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business has named Indian-origin alumna and tech industry veteran Yamini Rangan as one of its commencement speakers for 2026.
Rangan, of the class of 2003, currently serves as the chief executive officer of HubSpot and will address the MBA ceremony scheduled for May 23 at the Greek Theatre.

Before becoming CEO in 2021, she served as the company’s first chief customer officer, overseeing its marketing, sales, and service organizations.
Prior to that, she served as chief customer officer at Dropbox, where she led customer-focused business functions across sales, marketing, and strategy.
At Workday, she was vice president of sales strategy and operations, helping scale the company’s revenue and expand its sales organization. Earlier, she held multiple leadership roles at SAP in strategy, presales, and value-based selling, where she worked on major enterprise deals.
Rangan holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering, a master’s degree in computer engineering, and a master's in business administration from Haas.
She was named among the Most Influential Women in Business by the San Francisco Business Times in 2019 and recognized as a Best CEO for Women by Comparably in 2022. She serves on the Haas School Board and previously served on the board of Splunk.
The Haas School said the speakers, including Shaan Parasnis, head of product at GreenPen AI Labs, were selected for their impact across industries and their contributions to advancing technology-driven solutions in business and education.
The undergraduate ceremony will be held May 20 at the Greek Theatre. The combined full-time and evening and weekend MBA ceremony is set for May 23 at the Greek Theatre, while the executive MBA ceremony will take place June 5 at Hertz Hall.
