Rohit Sharma, an Indian American content creator, shared insights into his mother’s experience of growing up “whitewashed” in the United States. Through a recent Instagram reel, he reflected on themes of migration, identity, and the lasting effects of trauma.
In the reel, Sharma focuses on the immigration journey of his mother, whom he describes as “the original whitewashed Indian” and his idol.
