The highly anticipated India-U.S. trade facilitation portal will be launched on April 8, the Indian Consulate in New York announced.

The portal will be officially inaugurated by Vikram Misri, the foreign secretary of India, at an event organized at the Consulate General of India in New York on April 8 at 9:30 a.m.

The India-U.S. trade facilitation portal is a digital platform designed to connect Indian exporters, particularly MSMEs, with U.S. importers. It aims to promote sector- and state-specific trade in goods and services.

Announcing the launch, the Consulate said on X, "The India-USA Trade Facilitation Portal is now live!"

It continued, "Register now to access new opportunities between India and the USA across goods and services sectors, along with virtual exhibitions and educative webinars."

The portal will act as a gateway to verified B2B opportunities across India for U.S.-based businesses.

Aimed at ensuring seamless facilitation of trade, the portal provides access to authenticated exporters and importers, while maintaining transparency and security.

Apart from acting as a bridge between exporters and importers, the portal would also highlight state- and sector-specific goods and services, MSMEs (micro, small and medium enterprises), and ODOP (One District One Product) goods.

The portal will also be a site where exporters can virtually exhibit their products and services to a highly targeted audience.

The portal is being hosted by the Indian Consulate in New York, in collaboration with the Embassy of India in Washington, D.C., and Consulates General of India in Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Boston, Houston, Seattle and San Francisco.

The Consulate General of India in New York is also organizing webinars to address concerns about the portal.
