U.S. in advancing discussions on how to rebuild Washington Dulles airport

The Trump administration is in ongoing discussions aiming to reach consensus on a massive project to rebuild Washington Dulles Airport, the primary international airport in the Washington region, officials said.

Deputy Transportation Secretary Steve Bradbury said at an industry forum there are ongoing discussions between the department and the authority that runs the airport to find consensus on a way forward. President Donald Trump held a Feb. 25 meeting on Dulles's future that included United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby, who heads the carrier that has nearly 70 percent of the traffic at Dulles, sources said.
