The Trump administration has implemented sweeping changes to U.S. immigration and visa policy since President Donald Trump returned to office on Jan. 20. With a focus on arrests, deportations, and tightening legal entry, the White House has prioritized an aggressive immigration crackdown in its first months.
This is what has happened so far:
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested over 100,000 people for immigration violations from Jan. 20 to early June, according to the White House. This rate is more than double the average over the past decade.
