New York based financial services company, New York Life Insurance Company, has appointed Sai Cherla as its Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer – Technology, Data, AI and Ventures.
In her new role, Cherla will lead enterprise-scale transformation across agile delivery, operating models, and strategic execution. She will also be tasked with building high-performance teams, modernizing delivery practices, and aligning talent, data and platforms to drive sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Cherla brings over three decades of experience to her new role. Prior to joining NYLIC, she spent over six years at BMO Financial Group, advancing through senior leadership positions, including Chief Administration Officer for Technology and Operations, and Vice President & Head of the Transformation Management Office and Supplier Governance.

Talking about her new appointment, Cherla said on LinkedIn, "From my very first conversations, what stood out wasn't just the scale and ambition of the work, but the people. Cherla holds a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Delhi and a degree in Management from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management.
