Red FM Canada raises 2 million dollars for Punjab flood victims
Since 2007, RED FM has raised more than $21 million for various charitable causes, including the Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Guru Nanak Food Bank.

Red FM Vancouver's Radiothon for Punjab Floods raised $1,006,313 in one day / X/@RedFM Vancouver
Red FM Canada, a private radio network, has raised close to two million dollars to support the victims of the flood that has ravaged parts of the Indian state, Punjab.
Since early august 2025, Punjab has been grappling with its worst floods since 1988, with over 1,900 villages inundated, 43 lives lost, and extensive crop damage across all 23 districts.
The radio network, in collaboration with SAF (Sikhi Awareness Foundation) International organized radiothons to raise funds for the flood victims on Spet. 4 and 5. Joined by Red FM Vancouver, Red FM Calgary and Red FM Toronto, the network raised the money through contributions from its listeners.
The money was handed over to SAF, which will use the funds raised towards a three-phase relief strategy, including emergency response, rehabilitation, long-term rebuilding support and other related humanitarian needs as identified during the course of recovery efforts.
The Red FM network handed over the cheques to SAF international / X/@RedFM Toronto and X/@RedFM CalgaryRED FM President Kulwinder Sanghera expressed his gratitude for the community’s support in a statement and said, "In the 19 years we’ve been organizing Radiothons, the response from our community has always been exceptional.”
He added, "The South Asian community continues to step up, time and again, to support those in need."
Shamandeep Singh, Founder of SAF International, echoed similar sentiments and said "The power and generosity of the Punjabi community is truly inspiring. These donations will bring hope and tangible support to families facing unimaginable hardship."
